Jordan New Life Hub to Hold Candidate Forum October 20, 2008 in North Minneapolis
“This is the communities chance to ask incumbent candidates and others running for office that want to replace the current leadership, “What have you done for me lately?” Look around you, have things really gotten better in Minneapolis? Incumbents will tell you on this day about all the “bills” they have passed, but ask them, “When does the benefit get to we the people?”
Minneapolis, Minnesota -Jordan New Life Hub will host a Candidate Forum on Monday, October 20, 2008 starting 6:00 p.m. at Jordan New Life Community Church, 1922 25th Avenue North in Minneapolis.

This Forum says JNL Hub Director Juli Leerssen, “Is to engage and educate the community on issues that affect livability and sustainability in our city and will be the catalyst for future events that the Jordan New Life Hub hosts to empower community for the wellbeing of families, neighbors and individuals“. The forum also serves to give candidates a forum to address issues of infrastructure, environment, economic development, education and cultural health the ear of the constituents they serve who are vital to our city’s future.
This moderated event is formatted to be fair and impartial with all intensive purposes being for candidates to speak to what he/she as individuals will do if they are chosen to represent the community and not what opponents or incumbents have, have not, will or won’t do as it relates to the issues that effect and are vital to the overall wellbeing of the community. Members of the audience will have an opportunity to ask candidates additional questions if time permits.

ACORN has entered the African-American Community through the Minneapolis Urban League and the MUL’s Outreach Coordinator. Why wasn’t more research done on this organization – before they where given a free ticket to the African American Community? After viewing several “Voting Rally’s” that involved local non-profits, we come to the conclusion that there is no such thing as non-partisan when a Congressman’s office in a local “supportive” non-profit!

Join Keith and a panel of experts for a forum on the challenges to voting rights and what we can do as a community to preserve and expand our most basic democratic right.” Ellison is holding a forum Monday (October 6, 2008) at Powderhorn Park in Minneapolis. The Minnesota Democrat will also talk about legislation he has sponsored to encourage voter participation.
One bill would ban election officials from requiring a photo ID to vote in federal elections. Ellison argues that photo ID requirements discourage minorities, the poor, women, elderly and young people from voting.” WRONG!!!!
Voting Rights bills Keith has has introduced:
H.R. 2457: To amend the National Voter Registration Act of 1993 to require states to permit individuals to register to vote in an election for Federal Office on the date of the election.
H.R. 4026: To prohibit election officials from requiring a photo ID as a condition for voting in a Federal election.
The facts are – this is the United States of America. You have to have ID to buy Cigarettes, Liquor, and Car Rentals and yes, you must have proper photo ID to vote! This attempt by Congressman Ellison is fueled by the same people that are involved in voter fraud across the United States – ACORN. Information from Stop the ACLU (www.stoptheaclu.com) says, “The union supporting, Democratic Party pushing, extreme leftist Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) has been caught trying to jerry-rig voter applications in Michigan. It is looking like fraud on a massive scale in Detroit as ACORN tries to fill the Democrat voter rolls with fake Democrat voters.
ACORN is being investigated after several Municipal Clerks discovered fraudulent and duplicate voter registration applications. The majority of the fraudulent and duplicate applications are coming from the liberal ACORN group based in Detroit, Michigan, which now has ACORN investigating the problem once again as well as the Secretary of State’s Office turning over some of those applications to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
And it isn’t just Detroit that has found fraud being perpetrated by ACORN.
In recent years, ACORN’s voter registration programs have come under investigation in Ohio, Colorado, Missouri and Washington, with some employees convicted of voter fraud.
The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review is also reporting that the Obama campaign has been forced to amend a report to reflect over $800,000 of previously unreported ACORN donations to his campaign.
ACORN is at the heart of one of the most massive voter fraud campaigns in American history. ACORN is intimate with Barack Obama and is a major supporter of unions throughout the country and is doing its level best (and illegally at that) trying to assure that Obama wins this election.
Yes, Keith is a nice guy – but look around you, it hasn’t got any better. This attempt at voter fraud by saying that people are being denied the right to vote is just a smoke screen for so called non-partisan non-profits (especially in North Minneapolis to influence people how to vote.
This will not happen on our watch!
