Who is Dr. Ron Paul?
Ronald Ernest Paul (born August 20, 1935) is a Republican United States Congressman from Lake Jackson, Texas, a physician, a bestselling author, and a former 2008 U.S. presidential candidate.
Originally from the Pittsburgh suburb of Green Tree, Pennsylvania, he studied at Duke University School of Medicine; after his 1961 graduation and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, he became a U.S. Air Force flight surgeon, serving outside the Vietnam War zone. He later represented Texas districts in the U.S. House of Representatives (1976–1977, 1979–1985, and 1997–present). He entered the 1988 presidential election, running as the Libertarian nominee while remaining a registered Republican, and placed a distant third.
Paul has been described as conservative, Constitutionalist, and libertarian. He advocates a foreign policy of nonintervention, having voted against actions such as the Iraq War Resolution, but in favor of force against terrorists in Afghanistan. He favors withdrawal from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization and the United Nations, citing the dangers of foreign entanglements to national sovereignty. Having pledged never to raise taxes, he has long advocated ending the federal income tax, scaling back government spending, abolishing most federal agencies, and removing military bases and troops from foreign soil; he favors hard money and opposes the Federal Reserve. He also opposes the Patriot Act, the federal War on Drugs, No Child Left Behind, and gun regulation. Paul is strongly pro-life, and has introduced bills to negate Roe v. Wade, but affirms states’ rights to allow; regulate or ban abortion, rather than federal jurisdiction.
While Paul was a leading 2008 presidential candidate in some Republican straw polls, he saw substantially less support in landline opinion polls and in the actual primaries. Strong internet grassroots support was indicated by the popularity of his name in search queries and the number of his campaign’s YouTube subscriptions. His book commenting on the presidential run, The Revolution: A Manifesto, became a bestseller immediately upon release and went on to be #1 on the New York Times nonfiction best sellers list.
Introducing 5 Powerful African American United States Congressional Candidates that could put the Republican Party back where it belongs
In the hands of “We the People”…People of Color!

It shocks me when I tell my friends that I am a Republican. You would think that you had talked about their mother. The fact is the Republican Party was formed to stop the Democrats’ pro-slavery agenda. The Democratic Party has taken whole populations of ethnic people and lied to them about the Republican Party. This double edged sword has some difficult “situations” to address before ethnic populations go back to the party that worked for them, with them and made sure there was more than a dime left behind.
Please welcome Twin City Business in welcoming the United States Congressional Candidates 2008! From left to right.

We face many challenges as a nation. From the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, to illegal immigration, to energy independence, to out of control federal spending, now more than ever we need leaders in Congress who represent our South Florida values.
My 22 years of service in the U.S. Army have taught me that America is a country unlike any other, and that our way of life is worth protecting. In Congress, I will put my experience to work for our national security and honor my oath to the US Constitution by protecting our borders and enforcing our immigration laws. I will fight to lower taxes and reduce the size of federal government. I will be an advocate for policies that spur our economy and job creation, and will protect small business by cutting senseless regulations that cost jobs and increase overhead. And I will be a champion for reducing our dependence on foreign sources of oil, promoting energy independence while preserving our coastlines and farmland.
Thank you for visiting my campaign website. I am confident that as you learn more about my background and vision, you will agree my values and leadership are what our community needs in Washington during this important time in our history. Your support means a great deal to me.
In your service,
LTC Allen B. West, U.S. Army (Ret.)

Love is making a commitment and having the willingness to accept the sacrifices and inconveniences necessary to keep that commitment. This is true whether we are talking about another person, nation or society. Our forbearers came embracing a new spirit of responsibility. They built a representative form of government in which we are duty bound to participate. We now have a responsibility to follow their lead and build a more perfect union based on their example - not a celebration of diversity, but rather the assimilation of diverse ideas, and with it the people they represent.
Local communities, synagogues, mosques and churches once built the hospitals and schools required for a living, vibrant community. Now is the time to roll up our sleeves and do the hard work to provide for a new generation of rugged Americans with a sense of commitment to the nation and the culture that our forefathers built and left in our care. Let us stop apologizing for our nation. We must renew our commitment to this country, as our generation, like our forefathers is being tested seeing whether this nation “so conceived and so dedicated, can long endure.”
We must love our country and do the hard work that is necessary to pass this test.
Thank you!
Barb Davis White

4) About Dr. Deborah Honeycutt:
Dr. Deborah Honeycutt GA CD 13th www.honeycuttforcongress.com 404.791.0207
I am running for U.S. Congress in 2008. I believe that our United States government is facing a moral crisis. As a country we are in danger of forsaking the moral cornerstone upon which our nation was founded. No longer do many of our leaders make decisions based on constitutional imperatives, time-honored values, or Christian principles.
Foundational phrases like “One Nation under God” and “In God We Trust,” which symbolize the genesis of our nation, are daily being assaulted by individuals and organizations with seemingly socialist agendas. Activist judges are virtually making laws from their benches, thereby usurping the powers of our U.S. Congress. Members of Congress are challenging the constitutional powers of the executive branch. The executive branch through utilizing executive orders is making judicial decrees. Where established order is not upheld, there is chaos. The current political chaos does not serve the citizens of our country well.
5) About Antoine Members:
Antoine Members IL CD 1st www.antoinemembers.com 773.846.0491
I am a lifelong resident of Chicago, born and raised on the Westside and now residing on the Southside. A family man, I am married to my beautiful wife, Tònia, and have two wonderful children, Destiny and Journey. Academically, I am a graduate of CVS High School and have attended East-West University. Professionally, I worked for several years at a medical clinic and hospital that serviced an underserved Westside community. I currently serve as a Sheriff Deputy for the Cook County Department of Corrections, where I recently celebrated my 3rd year of service. My faith has been shaped through growing up at Englewood Church of God, where I later became an Associate Minister. I am now a long time member of Living Word Christian Center.
Why I’m running…I am running because the good people of the 1st district need employment, protection, and opportunities. The people we have continually selected to represent our concerns have only represented themselves by creating legislation that benefits the special interest groups they have indebted themselves to. The problems our district continues to face have not been dealt with. If we continue on this path of electing politicians that do nothing for our communities, we will continue to receive the same results.
For the past 16 years, many of our children have not learned to read, and many have fallen far behind their appropriate grade levels. These educational challenges have lead to discouragement and exorbitant school dropout. For the past 16 years, jobs in our district have drastically decreased, and constructive activities to empower youth after school, on weekends and during the summer have disappeared. It is time to leave the past 16 years of job loss, increased violence, and lack of opportunities behind us. I want to create opportunities for small, mid-size, and large businesses to operate in our district because too many of our jobs are being shipped overseas causing fellow Americans to be out of work.
I want to crack down on the practice of illegal immigrants finding work while our ex-offender population is repeatedly denied work, forcing most of them to resort back to a life of crime.
It is time for a transition from our complacent officials of 18 years that have promised to do the job, but have failed to deliver year after year. All these reasons have inspired me and that is why I am running for Congress.
These are the 5 most important people from the United States of America running for Congress.
