The Minnesota Lynx WNBA Draft Party “Go Team!”

Today was a great day for the Minnesota LynxWomen’s Basketball team! This afternoon’s event at NBA City in the Target Center was one for the record book. Today was the WNBA Draft party, presented by Adidas, Kia Motors, Innisbrook-Resort and Golf Club and of course the Lynx.

Style, eloquence, class and pride filled the air when the Lynx 1st round draft choice came up - Ms. Candice Wiggins the guard from Stanford was the first round pick for the Lynx with the crowd going wild!

“I helped my son pick her” said Ms. Pat Zierden, Coach Don Zierden’s (Coach “Z’s”) mother, who attended with the coach’s sister Debbie and a their friend Kathy Small. Everyone was all smiles. The Lynx also had the 16th pick in the second round and the 30th pick in the 3rd round. (watch this Blog for updates).
